Pour It Right Or Pour It Twice

One standard, residential to public works

A few small driveway pours grew into Caltrans-qualified flatwork, structural foundations, and stamped patios across Shasta County. The standard didn't change. The job size did.

How We Got Here

Started Small. Same Standard.

Driveways to Caltrans, one pour at a time

Redding Concrete was built on hard work, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship serving Redding, CA and Shasta County. What started as a few small residential driveway projects quickly grew into a full-service concrete contractor serving homeowners, contractors, and public agencies across Northern California.

With years of hands-on experience in construction and site development, our team of licensed concrete contractors understands what it takes to deliver work that lasts. From precise foundations and decorative stamped concrete to large-scale commercial and public works projects, we approach every concrete job with the same standard: do it right the first time. Our founder started this concrete company out of a passion for building tangible, lasting results.

How We Work

The Standards We Pour To

Shasta County, In and Out

Crews who live here, sourced from suppliers across the I-5 corridor. Local soils, local codes, local accountability.

Done Right the First Time

Mix spec'd to the job. Rebar laid to the load. Joints cut before cure. We don't pour and pray.

On Schedule. Clean Site.

Pours called the day before. Crews show on time. Forms stripped, debris hauled, your yard left like we were never there.

Residential to Caltrans Spec

Backyard patios to public works projects. Same crew, same standard, different mix designs.

Built for the Long Pour

30-year slabs, not 5-year slabs. Every pour gets full cure time, vapor barrier where it belongs, and joints where they need to be.

Licensed, Bonded, Caltrans Qualified

California General Contractor license, full liability coverage, and Caltrans qualification for public works.

Where We Pour

Six Pours We Run All Week

Residential foundations to Caltrans-spec public works. Mix designs, rebar layouts, and finishing techniques tuned to what the job actually needs.

Residential Foundations & Slabs

Expert foundation work for new homes, additions, and garage slabs. We ensure proper drainage, reinforcement, and curing for long-lasting structural integrity.

Commercial & Industrial Projects

Large-scale concrete solutions for warehouses, retail centers, and manufacturing facilities. Experienced with high-strength concrete and specialized applications.

Driveways & Decorative Flatwork

Beautiful and functional driveways, walkways, and patios using stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, and colored finishes that enhance curb appeal.

Public Works & Infrastructure

Caltrans-certified for public sector projects including sidewalks, curb and gutter, and municipal infrastructure requiring precise specifications.

Landscaping Integration

Seamless integration of concrete work with landscaping features including retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and hardscape elements.

Repair & Restoration

Expert concrete repair services including crack sealing, resurfacing, and structural restoration to extend the life of existing concrete.

Anatomy of a Slab

What's under the concrete is half the job.

A finished slab is a stack of six layers, each with its own spec. Skip a layer or shortcut a step and the slab fails inside a decade. Do it right and it outlives the house.

01

Broom Finish

Drawn before set

Fine ridges for traction. Hand-pulled across the surface while the slab is still workable.

02

Concrete Slab

5 in. · 4000 PSI

Mix designed to load. Air-entrained for freeze-thaw resistance. Cured 28 days under wet burlap or curing compound.

03

Reinforcement

#4 rebar @ 12 in. OC

Grid suspended in the middle third of the slab on chairs. Holds the slab together when soil moves or loads concentrate.

04

Vapor Barrier

10 mil polyethylene

Stops capillary moisture from rising into the slab. Required under any interior floor; recommended on every exterior pour over native soil.

05

Subbase

4 in. compacted aggregate

Crushed rock, 3/4 in. minus, compacted to 95% density. Drains water and gives the slab a stable bearing surface.

06

Subgrade

Compacted native soil

Stripped of organics, moisture-conditioned, and compacted. The foundation under the foundation.
